Barefoot in the Bay

Kristina Sewell and Maurice McCurdy take time to pose for the camera.

Thunderstorms did not stop the hundreds of patrons who defied the torrential rains last Sunday night to go 'shoeless' at the fifth anniversary Barefoot party at Tropical Beach in Montego Bay.

Wearing the most exciting contemporary beach wear, the hosts of youngsters who invaded the confines of the quiet fishing village of Whitehouse, used the event almost like a fashion show.

Guests included United States rapper Soulja Boy, crowned king of the dancehall Beenie Man, dancehall 'muma' Lady Saw, Gazaite, Vybz Kartel, Flippa Mafia and Gully Gad, Mavado.

This week Outlook brings you highlights of Barefoot party 2009.
