Uncle Clive was di first person who stretch out him han to mi when my babyfather leave mi and di pickney dem. Even if him never have meat, him would give wi di food. When mi get back on mi foot, mi return the kindness dat Uncle Clive show mi, and if him wife wish to speak di truth, mi was like a second wife.

All when him tek sick and in di hospital mi go look fi him and even bade him. When him come from farm work in 1969, him give mi wan nice spread which mi still have, and every time mi look pon di spread tears come to mi yeye dem. Di day when him dead, mi wake up and mi body just feel low.

something not right

Mi know dat someting was not right, but it was when mi see wan white, white dove pon mi winda sill mi know dat somebody dead. Me ketch mi fraid and run it. Shortly after mi hear dat Uncle Clive dead. Di dove was Uncle Clive who come to tell mi goodbye and mi run it. A hope him forgive mi because mi was bex wid him di time when him eat off all di guinea mango dem and nuh gi mi none. May him soul rest in peace.
