My Downtime With ... Brian Bennett-Easy, head of business services, Digicel

In another two years or so, the Digicel family will make the switch to downtown Kingston as the Government and corporate Jamaica seek to return the capital to its former glory. Digicel is leading the way, and we asked Brian Bennett-Easy how he spends his time away from work.

  • What was the last book you read?

Stephen King's Just After the Sunset: A Collection of Short Stories (13 to be exact). In my view, they range from absolute crazy, to absolute horror. This is supposed to be a showcase of King's amazing talent for developing short tales. Ironically, many fans of Stephen King felt he was losing his touch, as they thought he had lost his way with his last few books. Personally, I think the man is absolutely nuts (but he has to be to write the way he does).

  • Whose music are you listening to now?

I actually have a few CDs I've been playing over the last few weeks: The Blueprint 3 - Jay-Z, All I Ever Wanted - Kelly Clarkson, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel - Mariah Carey.

  • Where was the last interesting place you visited?

Last year, actually, Childress Vineyards, Lexington, North Carolina, about 50 miles north of Charlotte. It's an impressive not-so-little winery, literally in the middle of nowhere. I got brave enough to use the ambience to pop the question to my special person. I had a crazy road trip this year, driving from Charlotte to Long Island with two friends ... 13 hours and five states.
