Unbeaten Excelsior and Calabar will go head-to-head today at Mountain View Avenue, in one of nine matches in the ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel Manning Cup schoolboy football competition.

The Group C matchup, which is slated to get under way at 3:30 p.m., will see Excelsior looking to extend their record of three wins and two draws, and Calabar aiming to extend theirs which now stands at three wins and a draw.

"It will be a tough game. We will have to go down there and fight hard," said Calabar's coach, Alrick Clarke. "I know Halliman (Leebert, Excelsior's coach) is an astute coach and they will be playing their best football at home. But we want the win and will be going there to work for it," he added.

In other games, defending champions St George's College will seek their third win in as many matches when they take on Group F leaders Charlie Smith at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.

The Jerome Waite-coached Charlie Smith, with two wins, one draw and one loss, lead the group with seven points, one more than St George's, whose scheduled third game last week Tuesday was washed out.

"We expect a tough game from the defending champions. They have a strong unit, while Charlie Smith is a pretty young team. But we will definitely be looking to give a good account of ourselves," said Waite.

Elsewhere, Eltham High will be hoping to take advantage should either Charlie Smith or St George's slip up when they entertain struggling Kingston Technical.

Group B: Ardenne vs Innswood, José Marti Technical vs Kingston College, Haile Selassie vs St Jago

Group C: Campion College vs Spanish Town, Excelsior vs Calabar, Trench Town vs Tarrant (1:30 p.m.)

Group F: Eltham vs Kingston Technical, Charlie Smith vs St George's College (3:30 p.m.), St Mary's College vs Ascot
