Cuban doctor infected with Ebola virus in stable condition
Cuban doctor Felix Baez Sarrias, who contracted the Ebola virus during his work in Sierra Leone, is reported to be in a stable condition.

Dr Sarrias has been recovering at the intensive care unit of the Switzerland Cantonal Hospital.

However, the head of the Unit, Dr Jerome Pugin, told reporters that it is difficult to predict how the 43-year-old doctor will progress because his health condition may change rapidly.

According to media reports, the patient is being experimentally treated with the medication known as Zmapp, which has been administered to other foreign patients.
The Cuban doctor arrived in Geneva for treatment last Thursday.

Dozens of doctors from Cuba are helping in the Ebola fight in West Africa, where more than five thousand people have died from the virus.
