Four arrested, firearm seized after Rockfort shootings
Four men, two of whom were named as people of interest in connection with last night's Rockfort shootings, are now in police custody.

The police say the four men are being questioned by investigators.

Last night eight people were shot, three fatally, on St. John’s Road, Kingston 2.

Meanwhile, the police say their intensified presence and operations in the area have resulted in the seizure of a firearm and seven rounds of ammunition.

The police say the .38 revolver, was found during an operation conducted by police attached to the Kingston Eastern Division, Area 4 Headquarters and the Mobile Reserve.

One man was also taken into custody in connection with the find.

Members of the Chaplaincy Branch and the Community Safety and Security Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, in partnership with Victim Support Unit, have been deployed to the area to provide counseling and support to residents in the community, especially to those who are grieving.

The police are also appealing to residents to provide any information they can as they try to bring to justice those responsible for shooting.
