Clarendon taxi operators on edge
Transport operators in Clarendon are expressing fear that they are being targeted by gunmen.

The concern comes as another taxi operator was fatally shot by unknown assailants yesterday in Rectory Land, Bucknor, May Pen.

The dead man has been identified as Kirk Richards.

It is reported that he was shot several times during the attack.

President of the Vere Taxi Association, Fredrick Bryan, says the latest attack has put taxi operators on edge.

Bryan says Richards’ death is the third incident involving an attack on public transport operators in the last six weeks.

He is appealing to taxi operators to be more vigilant as they conduct their business.

And he is calling for operators to work closer with the police in helping to keep themselves and other members of the public safe.
