CRICKET: Chanderpaul slams century in warm-up match for first Test
West Indies batsman Shivanarine Chanderpaul warmed up for the first Test with an unbeaten century for St Kitts and the Nevis on today’s final day of the three-day tour match against Bangladesh at Warner Park.

Chanderpaul, who resumed this morning on 70, has moved to 131 not out to lead St Kitts and Nevis to 349 for seven in the post-lunch session.

St Kitts and the Nevis, who were 232 for four overnight, are now 39 runs behind Bangladesh’s first innings total of 377 for seven declared.

Chanderpaul’s century was the second for St Kitts and Nevis.

Opener Shane Jeffers hit 118 from 130 balls on yesterday’s second day.

Taijul Islam has so far picked up three wickets for 92.

The first Test between West Indies and Bangladesh starts on Saturday at Arnos Vale in St Vincent.
