'It has been rough' - JPS defends power restoration efforts
The Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) is defending its efforts to restore power to affected communities, saying it has been rough.

JPS’ director of corporate communications, Winsome Callum, says a technical problem complicated the company's restoration efforts resulting in the lengthy power loss.

While not giving a specific time for the return of power, she says a good shower of rain would help the company's efforts.

Callum says JPS teams are currently in Six West, Seven West, Bridgeport, Daytona, Passage Fort, Monza, Bridgeview, Silverstone and Portmore Country Club.

And in Kingston and St Andrew teams are currently working in Pines of Karachi, Windward Road, Vineyard Town, Hopefield Avenue, Garden Boulevard, Old Hope Road and Widcombe Avenue.

Callum says not all sections of the communities are without power.
