Police issue safety guidelines for Independence Village at Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre
The police have issued a number of guidelines to ensure safety at the Independence Village at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in St Andrew.

Several events celebrating the country’s Emancipation and Independence are scheduled for the village which will open today.

A release from the Constabulary Communications Network says the measures, which ban guns, knives, ice picks and weapons of any kind, will be strictly enforced.

Licensed firearm holders are advised to leave their weapons with their local Police or make alternative arrangements for the safekeeping of their weapons.

Additionally, aerosol sprays, large igloos, glass bottles, frozen water or drinks, DVD or video recorders, alcohol and umbrellas with pointed tips will not be allowed inside the venue.
