Taxi operator among four killed on Good Friday
A taxi operator was shot and killed in broad day light near St William Grant Park in downtown Kingston in one of four murders reported on Good Friday yesterday.

He has been identified as 35-year-old Max Walker, of a Harbour View address, in St Andrew.

The others have been identified as 16-year-old Omar Josephs and 24-year-old Phillip Douglas, both of May Pen, Clarendon and 31-year-old Desroy Pottinger, a vendor of Steer Town, in St Ann.

The Kingston Central Police report Walker was standing near St William Grant Park about 3:30 yesterday afternoon when a man armed with a handgun approached him and opened fire, hitting him several times.

The Area Three Police say Josephs and Douglas were among four persons who were surprised by gunmen at Douglas’s home in the community of Buzz Rock.

All four were ordered outside the house where they were robbed of valuables before the gunmen opened fire.

The St Anns Bay Police say Pottinger was found with gunshot wounds after residents reported hearing loud explosions in the community of Hollywood.
