The Association of Finsac’d Entrepreneurs is appealing to Prime Minister Portia Simpson to help the people devastated by the financial meltdown of the 1990s.

Association President Yola Grey-Baker said people affected by the FINSAC debacle are living in dire hardship with little means of helping themselves.

Grey-Baker further said many of these individuals, who are elderly, continue to be evicted from their homes and other properties because they are indebted.

She also said many of the people are extremely ill, as a consequence of losing their houses and businesses and now they have limited or no access to help health care.

According to Grey-Baker, many of those who suffered during the 1990’s financial collapse have been trying to rebuild their businesses but they are most often denied loans from financial institutions.

That is why she wants the Prime Minister to intervene.
