Five of Jamaica's male juniors will be competing in the prestigious Eddie Herr International Junior Tennis Championship, which begins on Friday, November 27, at the IMG Bolleteiri Tennis Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

The group will be headed by 17-year-old Brandon Burke, who is currently ranked at number 113 on the ITF World Junior Rankings.

Burke has been accepted into the main draw of the highly competitive 18 and Under Division, which is a Grade 1 event on the ITF Worldwide Junior Circuit.

He will be accompanied by 14-year-olds Daniel Harris and Ryan Simms, 13-year-old Simon Levy and 11-year-old Andrew Bicknell. Harris, one of the leading players in the 14 & 16 & Under Divisions in Jamaica, along with Levy and Simms, who is currently based at the Evert Tennis Academy in Florida, will be participating in the 14 & Under Division, while Bicknell, who played at the Number-two position for the winning Campion Under-19 Boys' Team in the recently concluded LIME Inter-Secondary schools competition, will be playing in the 12 & Under category.

The Eddie Herr Junior Tour-nament is widely recognised as one of the premier junior competitions in the world. In 2007, Brandon Burke, along with his partner Darien King of Barbados, was a finalist in the Boys' 16 and Under Doubles category.
