Former champions Tivoli Gardens Wizards and Majesty Gardens will meet in today's game three decider of the Flow-sponsored National Basketball League (NBL) Southern Conference Final at the National Stadium courts starting at 7 p.m.
The Wizards recorded 67-53 win over Majesty, who were playing without their injured star player Kemar McLeish to level their best-of-three series at 1-1 on Monday night.
Knee injury
McLeish, a former National Under-19 representative, is nursing a knee injury, which he picked in his team's Game One win over their opponents and is also doubtful for tonight's all-important encounter.
However, Marland Nattie, coach of the Majesty Gardens, which was eliminated at the semi-final stage last year, said he is confident his team can win without McLeish.
"It is going to be a good game and I think we have players who can step up and win the game for us," said Nattie following his team's defeat on Monday.
Majesty will rest their hopes in the hands of captain Baldon Todd, Havanda Dunn and Maurice Blackwood.
Edward 'Ted' Marshall, coach of the Wizards, said his players are very optimistic and raring to go.
"My team is ready for this because it is the final and they know what is at stake and we are also very desperate to win this title," said Marshall.
Marshall added that is team have been playing well as a unit and he is expecting them to come out firing.
"We are confident that we can beat Majesty because we have done it before and my team has been playing well defensively," Marshall said.
The west Kingston-based team will be relying heavily on their leading scorers Anthony Farquharson, Omar Barnes and Andre Wilby.
