MY DOWN TIME WITH ... Senator Marlene Malahoo-Forte

Senator Marlene Malahoo-Forte

She is a legal eagle who continues to make strides in her career, the latest being her recent appointments as senator, and junior minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She is the very lovely Marlene Malahoo-Forte. But how does she unwind away from the job? Outlook asked her to share her secrets.

  • What was the last book you read?

Ans: Leadership Without Easy Answers by Ronald Heifetz.

  • Whose CD are you listening to now?

Harry Belafonte's Island in the Sun.

  • Where is the last interesting place you visited and why you found it so?

Martha's Vineyard, off the south of Cape Cod in New England, in the United States of America. It is a very beautiful island with storybook houses; it fascinated the island girl in me.

  • LET US PRAY WITH ... businessman, Lascelles Chin

Successful businessman, Lascelles Chin, who heads the Lasco Group, is among the upcoming Gleaner guest editors who will add their expertise to our island's number one publications. But when he's in need of spiritual guidance, he turns to the words of Psalm 23, verse. 1, which reads:

    The Lord is my shepherd,

    I have everything I need.
