Letter of the day: Why can't we just unite?
THE EDITOR, Sir:WHY is unity such an illusive dream in Jamaica? In the field of sports, we have seen the very epitome of unity in support for the Reggae Boyz's, Usain Bolt and others.

Still alive in our hearts, Lady B
THE EDITOR, Sir:Lady Bustamante was as an aunt to me and did for me what she did for others: gave us purpose in life, comforted and admonished us when needed.

Is the labour ministry impotent?
THE EDITOR, Sir:THERE ARE thousands of Jamaicans who will lose their jobs before this recession is over, but why they lose those jobs deserves scrutiny.I worked for more than five years at a company doing a project for the Government.

The environment needs you, Peter
THE EDITOR, Sir:WHY IS Peter Espeut zeroing in on the Church and the economy? He is the only person who can expose the damage that is being done to the beaches in Ocho Rios.

I don't get it
THE EDITOR, Sir:I read recently in your newspaper that Ed Bartlett, minister of tourism, had announced that millions of dollars had been allocated to his ministry to fund various beautification schemes.
