The new campus for the 15-year-old American Inter-national School of Kingston, in Hope Pastures, St Andrew, will be completed for the school year starting August.

AISK now has, at its Olivier Road location, 250 students from 26 nations. Board Chairman Peter Melhado told parents who toured the school site on Saturday that AISK plans to become the leading international school in Latin America and the Caribbean, soon raising enrolment to 300.

More facilities to come

US$5 million has been raised and is being used to build the core school. Additional facilities will be added as current fund-raising efforts are implemented to raise a further US$4 million. Parents touring the school on Valentine's Day praised Melhado and his board for their strong and effective leadership in advancing this ambitious and valuable project so quickly.
