Mike Henry named in new JLP council of spokespersons

Opposition Leader Andrew Holness has announced the return of Central Clarendon Member of Parliament Mike Henry to the council of spokespersons of the Jamaica Labour Party.

He will once again serve as spokesman on Transport and Works.

In a press conference now underway, he also announced that attorney-at-law Marlene Malahoo Forte will be the party's spokesperson on health.

Juliet Cuthbert Flynn will serve as her deputy.

Senator Kamina Johnson-Smith will be the Opposition's spokesperson on Education and Youth.

She takes over from Holness.

Oiliva 'Babsy' Grange retains her position on sports, entertainment and culture but she has been assigned Harold Malcolm as her deputy.

Delory Chuck will reassume responsibility for justice with lawyer Kent Gammon as his deputy.

Senator Robert Montague will assume responsibility for mining and energy.

Karl Samuda remains spokesperson for industry investment and commerce.

And North Central Clarendon MP, Pearnel Charles retains social security.

The Shadow Cabinet was last reshuffled in November, 2013 following the JLP leadership challenge by Audley Shaw.
