ATHLETICS: Western Relays set for February 14
An estimated 1,800 athletes from schools, clubs and institutions will compete at the 37th staging of the MILO Western Relays set for Saturday, February 14.

Teams will compete in the 4x800, 4x400 and Class One girls and boys sprint relays.

They'll be vying for prize money ranging from five thousand to $30,000 for the top four finishers.

This was announced yesterday at the launch of this year’s meet at the Wexford Court Hotel in Montego Bay.

Chairman of the organising committee Ray Harvey says track and field fans can expect to see some of the island’s top clubs, including the MVP track club, GC Foster College, Sprintec, Swept and Comets.

Harvey also says Odane Lewis of Cornwall College and Lamara Distin of Ruseas, would be the 2015 Gleaner Youth Link Awardees.
