The youth arm of the Jamaica Labour (JLP) Party, Young Jamaica, is calling on the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) and its affiliates and partners to immediately withdraw from all agreements, pacts and covenants signed with the Simpson Miller Administration.

According to the organisation, “the Prime Minister has clearly demonstrated that she has no regard for the voices of ordinary citizens in this country.

The group says Simpson Miller’s move to keep the National Housing Trust's board is an arrogant and contemptuous act of defiance and disrespect.

Young Jamaica says if the Prime Minister does not yield to ordinary Jamaicans, those who command Jamaica’s means must hold her to account.

The group says the productive sector must send the Prime Minister a powerful signal that the principles of good governance, accountability and transparency are central to the operations of democratic governments and must be observed.

This morning, President of the Jamaica Manufacturers' Association (JMA), Brian Pengelley told The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre that the JMA, the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica and the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce will be meeting today to discuss the latest developments.
