The police have recovered a homemade firearm and one 9mm round of ammunition in Pineapple St Ann.

The seizure was made yesterday on Main Street.

According to reports shortly before noon yesterday a premises was searched and the firearm and ammunition found in a drawer.

One man was taken into custody.

His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
