GOLF: Wesley Brown wins Alliance Buccaneer Memorial Tournament

Wesley Brown dethroned defending champion Fabian Campbell in the Alliance Buccaneer Memorial Golf Tournament, which ended yesterday at the Caymanas Golf Club in St Catherine.

Brown won with a score of 73, while Campbell shot 81 to finish fourth behind Alfred Robinson and Ewan Peebles, who both closed the tournament on a combined 154 for the two days.

Sean Morris shot 75 on the final day following 74 on Saturday to top the men's section ahead of Jonathan Newnham, who ended on just one stroke behind.

Newnham is Jamaica's youngest golfer to play at the senior level.

Bryan Bailey and John Donoghue tied for third place with 156 each.

The Men's Senior title went to Radcliffe Knibbs who shot 154, while last year's winner Rory Jardine dropped to second with a combined score of 156.

Phillip Wilson took the Men's Super Senior title following a play-off with Easton Williams.

Tiana Cruz, 157, got the better of Kei Harris, 161, to top the Ladies section.
Rochell Prince, who led at the end of day one, dropped to third place after shooting 166 for the two days.
