J'can gov't to issue Ebola guidelines to funeral parlour operators
Health Minister Dr Fenton Ferguson says guidelines on how to treat with Ebola cases are to be handed to operators of funeral establishments and mortuaries this Tuesday.

The handing over will take place at the health ministry's offices on King Street in Kingston.

An overview of the guidelines has already been presented to the operators by acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Marion Bullock DuCasse. They have also been briefed on protocols for the management of Ebola cases. The meeting was held at the head office of the Ministry of Health.

Bullock Ducasse indicated that the meeting was part of the ministry’s efforts to ensure that all stakeholders are involved and aware of what is required of them with respect to the Ebola Response Strategy.

The health ministry says it will continue to conduct training with various stakeholders involved in the Ebola Preparedness and Response Strategy.
