FOOTBALL: Boys' Town returns to action today after squad recovers from chikungunya
Boys Town are scheduled to return to action in the Red Stripe Premier today after their squad was depleted last week as a number of players had contracted the chikungunya virus.

The chikungunya virus is contracted from the bite of an infected Aedes aegypti mosquito.

Boys’ Town are down to play Humble Lion in the Monday Night fixture at the Anthony Spaulding Complex.

The game is scheduled to start at 9 o’clock in the evening.

Both teams are struggling in the early part of the season and have only tallied a point from three games.

The teams are seven points behind Cavalier, who beat defending champions Montego Bay United 1-0 yesterday to move atop the points’ table.

The game was played at the Stadium East field.

Cavalier, who are on eight points, hold a one-point lead over Arnett Gardens, who did not honour their away fixture against Reno yesterday.

The Arnett Gardens squad was last week depleted as a result of the chikungunya virus.

Only one other game was played yesterday due to issues related to the chikungunya virus.

In that game, Rivoli United scored an away 3-2 victory against Tivoli Gardens for their first victory of the season.
