New anti-terrorism measures in the UK
The police in Britain are to be given new powers to seize the passports of terrorist suspects and stop British jihadists from returning to the UK.

According to the country's Prime Minister, David Cameron it is "abhorrent" that British citizens had "declared their allegiance" to groups like Islamic State.

He said the UK is looking at "specific and discretionary" powers to bar suspects from returning the UK.

Powers to monitor suspects in the UK will also be strengthened.

The statement to MPs comes after the UK's terror threat level was raised to "severe" from "substantial" on Friday.
