Jamaica Labour Party Leader Andrew Holness used a political platform in Bellefield, Manchester last night to again criticise the PNP Administration for its stewardship of the economy.

Recent data released by the Planning Institute of Jamaica shows 1.2 per cent growth for the quarter ending June - the fourth straight quarter of growth.

However, Holness maintains that the Portia Simpson Miller-led government is only interested in passing the performance reviews of the International Monetary Fund while local suppliers are owed and public expenditure is being cut.

According to Holness, Jamaicans are getting progressively poor because of some of the Government’s economic policies.

He says a JLP administration would pursue similar fiscal management policies but a people-centred growth strategy.

He was speaking yesterday afternoon in Bellefield, Manchester, at a party meeting involving all 14 constituencies in Manchester, Clarendon and St Ann.
