PNP preparing for Local Government election
The PNP says it's now at the height of preparations for the Local Government elections constitutionally due by next year.

At the party's annual conference for Region Four held in Denbigh, Clarendon yesterday, 51 provisional candidates were presented.

Of this number eight are first-time aspirants.

PNP deputy general secretary Raymond Pryce says efforts are now underway to confirm all the candidates who will be running in the next election.

At the Region Four conference Joyce Daley was elected as the chairman.

In the last Local Government election, the PNP won 13 of the 22 divisions in the Clarendon Parish Council and 26 out of 41 seats in the St Catherine Parish Council.
