Students in uniform without a Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) Smarter Card will be able to ride free of cost for today only.
The JUTC is encouraging students to use the opportunity to get their SMARTER Cards.
The managing director, Colin Campbell, says JUTC offices will continue to open late to allow persons to obtain their cards.
The JUTC says its offices at the Half-Way Tree Transport Centre will remain open for 24 hours to accommodate people who wish to pick up their cards in anticipation of tomorrow's deadline.
There were long queues at JUTC locations in the Half-Way Tree and downtown Kingston on the weekend as persons registered for the company's compulsory SMARTER Card.
