The Constabulary Communications Network is urging persons to be vigilant when applying for overseas employment programmes.
The police say they have received several reports that persons claiming to be officials of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security have been soliciting payment from persons seeking employment in overseas farm work programmes.
However, the Labour Ministry’s is no longer taking applications as it's deadline was June 16.
Members of the public are therefore being urged to immediately report anyone who approaches them soliciting payment to be part of the programme.
