Jamaica’s global sprint star Usain Bolt is scheduled to open his 2014 season today when he competes in the heats of the men’s 4x100-metre relays at the 20th Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
The six-time Olympic champion is making a late start to his season because he had a foot injury. He has never before competed at a Commonwealth Games.
The heats of the men’s 4x 100-metre relays will start at 2:35 p.m. Jamaica time.
The final is the last event in the athletics programme tomorrow.
The day will also feature the heats of the women’s 4x100-metre relays along with the men and women’s 4x 400-metre relays.
