The controversy continues at human rights lobby group, Jamaicans for Justice, (JFJ) with former board member, Susan Goffe, rejecting the findings of an internal review of a sex education programme.

According to Goffe, the internal review is flawed.

Speaking on Cliff Hughes Online on Power 106FM this morning, Goffe said the report contained inconsistencies and inaccuracies.

She further stated that the process used by the JFJ Board to undertake the review was also flawed.

The report, which was released by the JFJ last Friday, conceded that there were weaknesses in the oversight and vetting of the sex education programme.

It also said the goal of the programme fell outside of the JFJ’s human rights mandate.

According to the JFJ, the goal of the programme was to engender responsible attitudes in marginalised youth towards their sexual and reproductive health in order to reduce the incidence of HIV infections in the adolescent population.

The controversial programme was titled 'Healthy Sexual Growth and Development in Marginalized Youth: Rights, Responsibilities and Life Skills'.

It created a firestorm because of revelation that it included material on anal and oral sex.

The controversy surrounding the programme has led to resignations of three JFJ board members as well as executive director Kay Osbourne.
