Abe dabdoub, the lawyer for Energy World International (EWI) says the company has been invited to make a presentation to the Energy Sector Enterprise Team (ESET).
The Government has now revoked the licence it had granted to EWI to construct a 381 megawatt energy plant in Jamaica after it failed to pay its US$37 million performance bond on time.
The licence expired at midnight.
This means the ESET now has full authority to execute its mandate to deliver Jamaica’s 360 megawatt project.
Last night, Dabdoub would not divulge whether EWI would be taking any further action to secure its interests in relation to the project.
He promised to send
The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre a press release outlining EWI’s position, but it has not been received.
