ISCF Officers Association supports plans for merger with JCF
The Central Executive of the Island Special Constabulary Force (ISCF) Officer’s Association has distanced itself from an injunction filed in the Supreme Court on Friday against the merger of the ISCF and the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

Chairman of the Association Commander Christopher Bowen explains that the decision was taken by the Rank and File Association which is independent of the ISCF Officer's Association.

The Rank and File Association represents constables to inspectors while the ISCF Officer's Association represents assistant commanders to the commandant.

According to Commander Bowen 98 per cent of ISCF officers have already signed the letter of invitation issued by the Commissioner of Police.

He says the remaining two per cent are personnel on vacation leave or those who are absent with permission.

Commander Bowen says the ISCF officers are confident in the Minister of National Security and the Commissioner of Police’s undertaking to preserve members’ benefits.
