Tsesti 'Lights Out' Davis handed Team Jamaica another win in the 2014 Wray & Nephew Contender series with a unanimous decision victory over Derrick 'Dangerous' Richmond from Guyana last night.

The six-round bout took place at the Chinese Benevolent Association auditorium.
Judge Clifford Brown scored the contest 60-54, while Keith Brown had it 58-56 and Steven Hodges saw it 59-55.

The victory means that Team Jamaica had opened up a 4-1 lead following five weeks of competition.

Davis, the beaten finalist last year, has now joined his fellow Jamaicans Ramel Lewis, Sakima Mullings and Richard Holmes along with Barbadian Christopher ‘Shacka’ Henry in the quarter-final.

Sixteen welterweight boxers, including eight from Team Caribbean started the series.

The boxers are fighting for a top prize of $2 million, with the runner-up earning $500,000, third place $250,000 and fourth $200,000.
