CTL hunts new CEO
Caymanas Track Limited (CTL), the sole promoter of local horseracing, is now on the hunt for a new Chief executive Officer.

Current Chief executive Officer Franz Jobson has tendered his resignation effective December 31.

Jobson, who held the job for just over a year, cited “personal reasons” for his resignation.

His contract expired in September and he indicated then to CTL Chairman Joseph A. Matalon that he would be moving on.

However, he was persuaded to stay for a while longer. In mid-November, he indicated that he would be leaving at year’s end and tendered his resignation to the promoting company.

Jobson, son of noted racehorse breeder Freddie Jobson, says he enjoyed his stint at CTL, despite the many challenges.

He believes the proposed divestment of CTL should go a far way in improving the racing product if it becomes a reality next year.
