Civilian testifies in trial for cops accused of Boulevard trial
Barbara Gayle, Justice Coordinator

A civilian witness testified today during the Boulevard murder trial that he and the prosecution's main witness, a former cop, went to an abandoned area off Port Royal Main Road the day Kemar Walter and Oliver Duncan went missing.

He told the court that when he got to the area, he saw two other cars and he was left in a blue station wagon motor vehicle while four policemen went in the blue Honda CRV and drove into bushes.

He said the policemen came back about 20 minutes later and that shortly after he saw thick black smoke coming from the bushes.

The witness also told the court that the accused Constables Louie Lynch and Paul Edwards and the prosecutions’ main witness were three of the four policemen who had gone into the bushes.

Lynch, Edwards and Assistant Superintendent of Police Victor Barrett are on trial for the murders of Walters and Duncan.

The Crown is arguing that Walters and Duncan were taken from a plaza along the Washington Boulevard, St Andrew on the afternoon of December 23, 2004 and have not been seen since.
