Support growing for new debt exchange, says Phillips
Minister of Finance and Planning Dr Peter Phillips disclosed yesterday that tangible support has begun to trickle in for the National Debt Exchange. Phillips made the disclosure after an intense two weeks of meetings with a staff mission team from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Expansion work underway at St Ann's Bay Hospital
Health Minister Dr Fenton Ferguson yesterday signed a contract valued at $73 million for the expansion of the female ward at the St Ann's Bay Regional Hospital. Work is to be undertaken by W.G. Walters Construction Limited and will begin in March. It is projected to last eight months.

Church helps family rebuild after fire
ON JANUARY 7, 2013, the home of Uriel Hamilton, wife Janice, and his three children, located in Albion, St Thomas, was destroyed by fire. Six other persons were affected by the loss of the four-bedroom board structure. A motor car belonging to another relative was also destroyed.
