Jamaica's oldest rum, the world famous Appleton 'Special' Jamaica Rum, has joined forces with cable giant SportsMax as a presenting sponsor to bring something special to viewers for the second half of the 2012-13 season of Barclays Premier League.

For the duration of the Barclays Premier League season, Appleton Jamaica Rum will be on board with SportsMax, bringing the excitement of the world's most watched football league to sports lovers in Jamaica, Cayman, the Bahamas and Bermuda.

To kick-off its sponsorship, Appleton will be hosting BPL Special Sunday at Usain Bolt's Tracks & Records this Sunday, January 13, for one of the biggest rivalry in European football - the Manchester United vs Liverpool fixture at 8:30 a.m. followed by the developing rivalry between Arsenal and Manchester City at 11 a.m.

The public has been invited to come to Usain Bolt's Tracks & Records for breakfast and enjoy Appleton mix specials while watching these two rivalries on SportsMax on multiple big screens.

According to J. Wray and Nephew's head of marketing, Gary Dixon, "Appleton is thrilled to be associated with special moments among friends gathering to enjoy sports and our BPL partnership will certainly help us to engage with our consumers across the region enjoying one common language of football."

Regional marketing manager of SportsMax, Tanya Lee, said "Appleton is the ideal partner for the BPL. What better way to create a buzz among friends than with a drink in hand and the BPL match on SportsMax!"
