EDITORIAL - The PM's New Year resolution
We don't know if Prime Minister (PM) Portia Simpson Miller makes New Year resolutions. We wouldn't be surprised, though, if she did. In which case, at the top of her 2013 list should be a plan to spend political capital, to which she should keep.

On a mission? What mission?
If you were told of a country which boasts over half a century of unbroken democratic government and was blessed with the most desirable of climates; a country that sits on reserves of important mineral assets, with a remarkable variety of micro-climates and soils that impart unique characteristics to its food and spices, your response would probably be: there is no such country.

Government's silence - anything but golden

Father Richard Ho Lung's article on Sunday, December 16, 2012, 'Do Adventists hate Catholics?', has puzzled many well-thinking citizens. While one is not imputing motive, it is strange that the godly priest chooses to ask that question in public without first making contact with the church.
