News Briefs - LIME dials up new customer-care firm

In a bid to improve its customer satisfaction, telecoms giant LIME Jamaica will today affirm the Canadian-based telecommunications company, TELUS International, as its customer-service operators at a media launch in Montego Bay, St James.

The initiative will see almost 200 persons being gainfully employed as the new system is expected to deliver immediate service improvements to customers in western Jamaica.

A police inspector was yesterday arrested and charged for attempting to pervert the course of justice, following a ruling from the director of public prosecutions.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Selvin Hay last night told The Gleaner that Dadrick Henry of the St Catherine South Police has been arrested. Henry was picked up by his colleagues in the vicinity of the Supreme Court in downtown Kingston.

The cop, who is currently answering criminal charges before the court in another matter, is on suspension from the force.
