Kudos to cops for Sandy curfews

As Jamaicans, we do not hesitate to express our displeasure on issues. Therefore, we should not hesitate to praise, when we think praise is due. To this effect, I wish to 'big up' the commissioner of police, and the police force in general, for their proactive action in the recent hurricane.

I was surprised when I heard places such as Falmouth, Clark's Town, Wakefield and Duncans in Trelawny were under curfew during the storm. I am certain that putting all these places under curfew reduced criminal activities during the passage of Hurricane Sandy, thereby allowing the police the opportunity to assist in other areas of need. I only wish the rest of the Government was as proactive as the commissioner of police this time.

Falmouth, Trelawny
