LETTER OF THE DAY - Reaching out to our lawmen
Our nation's overworked, overstressed, but most dedicated peace-keepers are overwhelmed with grief and profound sadness. The nature of the job has taken its toll on their lives and well-being of so many in the security forces that only the grace of God can console them.

WICB made the right move
I totally disagree with Dave McFarlane of Denham Farm who, in a letter to the editor published April 20, seemed extremely upset with the cricket authorities for dropping Messrs Chris Gayle, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Shivnarine Chanderpaul from the West Indies team.

Kudos NWA
The National Works Agency (NWA) has taken the necessary steps to reduce traffic flow through our community, Valentine Gardens, because of the detour related to the impending construction of the bridge above the Queensborough Gardens ford. This the NWA has done through the posting of the requisite directional signs to motorists, which we trust they will obey.

Infidelity inciting domestic violence
In recent times, there have been a spate of murder-suicides involving Jamaican men. These acts of brutality cannot be condoned for whatever reason, and those men with copycat thoughts should destroy them. No one on this earth is beholden to anyone in a relationship.
