LETTER OF THE DAY - Speaker should apologise to Warmington
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Delroy Chuck, owes the Member of Parliament for South West St Catherine, Everald Warmington, an apology.
Jamaicans for Justice rather late in the day
I have always respected Jamaicans for Justice (JFJ) as a human rights body. However, I think its spate of harsh criticisms levelled at Alison Anderson-McLean and the Government, all played out in the media, are exaggerated and not completely genuine.
Reject vigilante extradition
The call by many is for the Government to proceed with the extradition of Christopher Coke, despite the laws of Jamaica superseding the extradition treaty with the USA. To this I contend that the legal position is that any action must be within the context of the fair judicial systems of the USA and Jamaica.
Depraved looters
As I watched the evening news on Thursday, March 11, a report was broadcast of an accident involving a Toyota motor car and a truck transporting Heineken beer along the Linstead bypass in St Catherine, and I was most disgusted to see people, mostly grown men and children, looting the truck.
