It is the season to be jolly and celebrate with family and friends. However, students from Sts. Peter and Paul Preparatory School, while celebrating in style at their annual carol service on Tuesday, took time out to remember the less fortunate. The students, decked in the colours of the flag, strolled one by one to drop their presents in containers.

Following that, they proceeded to entertain their families and friends in true Jamaican style, mixed with a little of the biblical theme - 'A New Exodus … Jamaican Style'. The event had the participation of students ranging from kindergarten to grade six entertaining with selections ranging from skits, to dances and songs. The skits were categorised in four separate themes, starting from the 'Days of Moses' to 'Jamaica Today', which certainly got the audience laughing.

One of the most thrilling and well-performed songs was Happy Birthday Jesus, which got members of the audience shouting "aah and ooh". The song was fitting for the service as it reiterated the real meaning of the celebration, with one line being 'Presents are nice, but the real gift is you. I love you Jesus'.
