Letter of the day: Signs of desperation
The Editor, Sir:In times of such dreadful situations, spectator countries like ours should take note of what is developing in Haiti.

They are not looters
The Editor, Sir:I am asking that you stop emulating some other news organisations by using words used by The Associated Press, reporting that the people of Haiti are "looting" United Nations' warehouses for food.

Weep for Haiti, Jamaica
The Editor, Sir:As I sat and watched the destitution and desolation in Haiti, I cried. I realised that their suffering after the earthquake is the result of corruption and poor administrative skills on the part of all those who have governed the country.
