RJR crisis fund for Haiti jumps

RADIO JAMAICA (RJR) is reporting that Jamaicans have contributed more than $6 million in cash in the past three days to the Haiti Crisis Fund established by the media entity.

Donations are being made to account number 822317 established by RJR at the Cross Roads branch of Scotiabank.

The account is accessible at all Scotiabank branches islandwide. The bank says since RJR started the fund with a quarter of a million dollars on Wednesday, it has received large deposits as well as deposits as small as $40.
