Spanish-Jamaican Foundation aids Obistan Prep

Silva

Obistan Kindergarten Preparatory School in St Andrew will today benefit from a donation from the Spanish-Jamaican Foundation.

Spanish Ambassador Jesús Silva, the honorary president of the Foundation, will make the presentation at 1 p.m. at the institution, 12 Washington Boulevard.

Obistan Kindergarten Prep is a government-approved co-educational institution catering to some 100 children ages three to 12 years.

The school is in the process of upgrading its facilities to accommodate the increase in student body, and to improve their learning environment.

As the department is in need of items to better enhance learning and ensure that students have the environment in which to perform at their optimum, the foundation has decided to give its support, outfitting the school with nine new wall fans to improve the ventilation system, as well as replacing blackboards with nine white boards, reducing the health problems posed by chalk dust.
