I detect a certain amount of animosity, in your editorial entitled 'Government must honour its treaty obligation', toward this Bruce Golding-led administration. I wonder, what you are trying to insinuate? The points you mentioned are well taken and, in some cases, I am in total agreement with you. However, I am of the opinion that you expect this Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Government to just sign the extradition order for Christopher 'Dudus' Coke without any proof of him committing any crime in the United States (US).

Who is wooing who?

The Jamaican Government has asked the US authorities for more information about Mr Coke's indictment and they have refused to do so, so far, so who is wooing who in that case? The 15 Jamaicans who have been extradited to the US under the current treaty in the last few months were living in the US, or visited the US, when they were accused of their crimes. The question is: did Mr Coke live in or visit Uncle Sam's country at any time, and has our local judges ruled that a prima facie case has been established against Mr Coke as yet?

Your argument is ridiculous. Your time would be better spent representing the rights of Jamaican citizens, rather than supporting the imperialist bully attitude of the US. Why don't you ask the US about the so-called weapons of mass destruction they were searching for in Iraq? Show some patriotism and let our local judges make their ruling on this case, instead of your ludicrous insinuations.
