New champions will be crowned in this year's National Basketball League (NBL)/Flow All-Island competition.
On Saturday night at the National Stadium Courts, Majesty Gardens Legends defeated defending champions Urban Knights 85-83, in game-two of their best-of-three semi-finals to clinch the series 2-0. The winners had taken the opening game 72-69 on Thursday at the same venue.
Majesty will now face Southern Conference champions Tivoli Gardens Wizards in their best-of-three finals, which will begin on Thursday at the National Indoor Sports Centre.
The Wizards secured the spot in the final with a 74-59 win over Manchester Pythons in game two on Saturday at Belair High School in Mandeville, for a 2-0 series win.
Game-high 26 points
Jeffery Brown led the way for the Edward 'Ted' Marshall-coached Wizards with a game-high 26 points. Brown was well supported by Anthony Farquharson's 15 points.
Damion Sullivan (15) and Earldon Smith (12) and nine rebounds were the leading scorers for the Pythons.
At the National Stadium, Majesty, who were beaten by the Wizards in the Southern Conference final, were led to victory by Kemar McLeish with a game-high 33 points.
McLeish received solid support from captain Baldon Todd (21) and Vinton Brown (14).
Javon Bailey, 25, and Andy Smith, 20, were the leading scorers for the Knights.
Marland Nattie, coach of Majesty, was delighted with his team's performance because they played well at both ends of the court.
"Our performance was perfect in terms of our execution, down to the last five minutes of the game, and after this I think we got complacent and we almost threw the match away," said Nattie, who is a former president of the Jamaica Basketball Association.
