Boys' Town bag all three with late winner
Ryon Jones, Gleaner Writer

Boys' Town extended their unbeaten home record to eight games following a 2-1 win over Humble Lions in the 16th round of the Digicel Premier League yesterday at Collie Smith Drive.

An own goal gave the 'Red Brigade' the lead in the 17th minute. Boys' Town's Asrick Samuels drove the ball across the face of the Humble Lions goal from the left flank. Humble Lions' captain, Rupert Lewin, attempted to clear but only succeeded in slicing into his own net.

Things got worse for the visitors soon after. Kirk Duckworth was cautioned twice in two minutes, both for unsportsmanlike conduct and was sent off in the 31st minute.

Humble Lions still managed to come out looking more positive in the second half and drew level in the 64th minute when Kevin Mighty shook off two defenders before slamming past Boys' Town goalkeeper, Kirk Porter.

The game seemed to be heading for a draw but as they have done more than once this season, Boys' Town came up with a late winner. Humble Lions' defenders failed to clear a cross in their 18-yard box in the 87th minute and Boys' Town's George Vernal scored the clincher.
